Unbelievable Ink Waste with Epson printers

I know that printer ink is called "the fluid gold" and that the printer business model follows the Rockefeller example of a strong subvention for the lamp to sell the oil later in quantity  ...but still !

Given the price of the ink cartridges these days 20-25% waste is simply not customer friendly to say it mildly. All details and a very interesting thought about a potential design flaw in Epson printers in the attached blog article from PetaPixel:
